Tuesday (Monday in the States) was our last day at the Octopus Resort.
Our final breakfast with the wedding party included an initial look at the wedding pictures.
The Transfer Boat left an hour earlier than expected (10:30 AM) to take us to Nadi where we would spend the night.
We stayed at the Raffles Gateway Hotel across from the airport. This hotel seems to be famous for its use as a rest stop for travelers trying to align their international air flight schedules with that of the available transportation to various Fiji resort destinations.
Our room was decorated with Fijian artifacts.
The Raffles open air restaurant also featured a Polynesian theme.
Jill poses for a snapshot while we wait for dinner… Our flight to Auckland, New Zealand leaves in the morning..

OK – I admit it. It looks like you are having more fun than I am! (I just cleaned 5 cat litter boxes) I added your names to the reservation for North Rim. Changing the reservation to your names would have required a whole lot more info. but since the room is prepaid there should be no problems. I have been house sitting in Hollywood until the new tenants arrive May 1st. Eager prospects were coming out of the woodwork to be selected. Finally settled on an architect and an entertainment lawyer. This does not look like the vacation that would be conducive to a strict diet! How is your foot, Jill? Hope you really enjoy yourselves, knowing you don’t have to go back to work at the end. My choice for Hugh’s new personalized license plate: RUBSNME – I think I can slide that one by the censor as: RUBS ‘N ME (the real meaning being “Are You B.S. ing Me?” I know, I know – don’t give up my day job……
All the best
Mike
Okay, we definitely are having more fun… Cat box cleaning cannot compare! Thanks for the North Rim reservation; we are looking forward that trip. Let us know how you make out fooling the censors.
