Day 5 – Amboise (Loire Valley)

Leaving Mont-Saint-Michel behind, we drove 325km south to our next stop in the Loire Valley.  Instead of taking the toll auto route, we traveled the national highways. Wow, we had no idea there could be so many roundabouts on any highway system. We arrived mid-afternoon at our manor house accommodation.

You are definitely doing this tour in style! It appears the weather gods are now smiling on you. You must be fairly close to Belcastel (Aveyron District).

Glad you are having good weather to enjoy the beautiful sights. If you are thinking of stopping off to visit Barbara Kaufmann who lives in the Loire Valley village of Troo, we can email contact information to you.

We are no longer in the Loire Valley and are about 5 hours away from Barbara’s inn. Thanks though. We are in the country in a 500-year-old farmhouse. Wish you were here with us to relax and catch up. Best, Pete and Jill

I’m so jealous. I’m sure you’re eating every scrumptious dish that’s on that table.

So far, Mont St. Michel is my favorite, but I’ll reserve my opinion till you see more
    of France.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

    Love,

    Flea
