After our stay in Alberta, we headed to Revelstoke National Park in B.C., known for its championship ski jumps, heliskiing and hiking trails that provide sweeping views of the mountains, valley and Columbia River.
On our way to Revelstoke National Park, we stumbled upon Rockgarden Trail, a loop trail located near Columbia-Shuswap A in British Columbia.
The wooded section of the trail met up with some unusual rocky terrain.
Wish we had brought our walking sticks, but we made it over the rocks without injury.
Revelstoke is a world-class ski resort, known for its ski jumps and heliskiing.

The Columbia River is the largest river flowing into the Pacific Ocean from North America. The scenic train from Vancouver crosses the river on the right hand side.

On the Broken Bridge Trail, we climbed to a lovely creek with mountain views along the way; and, yes, there is a broken bridge at the end of it. Broken Bridge has been closed for nearly 25 years,

Many exotic species of plant
Skiing traditions were brought here by Scandinavian immigrants, who advanced the mode of travel as a winter recreation and helped turn Mt. Revelstoke into a venue for vibrant festivals and international competitions.
Between 1916-1975, championship ski jumping competitions took place here on the magnificent "Big Hill."
Revelstoke produced many outstanding ski jumpers, including Nels Nelson, Robert Lynburne, Isabel Coursier and Hans Gunnarson.

Our last hike of the day was a 1.5 hour hike through the Columbia Mountain rain-forest, aptly called "Inspiration Woods."
Inspiration Woods is a photographer's paradise.
So many unique natural formations to photograph.
